A strategic management process is a method where you are able to break down the company’s goals, strategies and vision into simple practical steps that are then easily implemented by the employees. This is very important to do if the company expects to see its goals and vision moved from simply being good ideas on paper into reality.

One of the ways this can be done is by the use of a top down strategy planning model. This is a model that is commonly used by many companies as it involves the different top executives coming up with steps of implementing the company goals and mission and then communicating the same effectively to those under their command.

This changes however when it comes to a large organization as it will have several businesses in its portfolio and the main focus of the executives is often how to best manage this portfolio.

Each company regardless of the industry that it is in can make use of this management tools to help it reduce business costs, manage its employees better, increase productivity and ultimately raise profits. This tools are vital and those who have taken the time to understand them and incorporate them into their business have found themselves way ahead of the competition.
